MTTLD -14. Ladakh Cultural Tour
(The Land of Broken Moon - 8Days / 7Nights OR 10 Days / 9 Nights)
Day 1: After a breathtaking flight over the ZANSKAR & LADAKH mountain ranges arrive at LEH Airport (11,500ft. altitude) & received by our representative. Transfer to Hotel and spend the entire day relaxing and acclimatizing.
* V.Impt*:- Due to the extreme altitude guests may feel breathlessness or even dizzy. It is important that on the first 24hrs. after arrival one must relax & not exert too much & also refrain from smoking. Please inform our Rep. or Hotel Staff in case of discomfort or uneasiness.
Day 2: After breakfast visit an ORACLE CEREMONY - return to Hotel for Lunch - evening visit a traditional Ladakhi home - overnight in Hotel in LEH.
Day 3: Full day excursion to EASTERN LADAKH with Picnic Lunch - visit SHEY PALACE - THIKSAY - STOK PALACE & HEMIS Monastery. Return to LEH for dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 4: Full day excursion to WESTERN LADAKH with Picnic Lunch - visit ALCHI & LIKIR Monastery. On way back to Leh visit enroute BASGO PALACE. Check in hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
Day 5: After breakfast local sightseeing - LEH PALACE - SHANTI STUPA - SANKAR GOMPA. After Lunch free to explore the sights of LEH town on foot. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Full day excursion to KHARDUNGLA PASS (18380ft. altitude) the Highest Motorable Road in the World - Picnic Lunch at Khardungla Pass - See panoramic view of Indus Valley - Endless Peaks of ZANSKAR RANGE - the Giants of Saser Massif up North. Return to Hotel in Leh for dinner & O/N stay.
Day 7: After breakfast whole day at leisure to explore LEH Bazaar & do shopping - see Zorawar Singh Fort and other local sights - Dinner & overnight in Hotel in Leh.
Day 8: Early morning transfer to Leh Airport to catch flight back to Delhi.

Supplement: Trip To Tso Moriri Lake (170kms. From Leh & 15000ft. Altitude)
Day 8: After early breakfast, drive (7hrs.) to TSO MORIRI LAKE (20kms. in length) on the South Eastern fringe of Ladakh Range - Breeding ground for numerous species of birds - enroute visit UPSHI where Manali Road joins - CHUMATHANG village - enjoy its Hot Springs - cross MAHE BRIDGE to arrive at TSO MORIRI LAKE. Overnight in Tent Camp Site on the shores of Tso Moriri Lake.
Day 9: Explore the Lake after breakfast - Drive to KORZOK VILLAGE - & after Lunch return to Leh for overnight stay in hotel.
Day 10: Early morning transfer to LEH Airport for departure to Jammu / Delhi.
All transfers; excursions & sightseeing are in Jeep / Gypsy / Sumo.

Day 1: After a breathtaking flight over the ZANSKAR & LADAKH mountain ranges arrive at LEH Airport (11,500ft. altitude) & received by our representative. Transfer to Hotel and spend the entire day relaxing and acclimatizing. Meals and overnight at Hotel Lahrimo / Kangalachan or similar.

Ladakh at an altitude of 11500 Ft. is a land like no other. Bounded by two of the world's mightiest mountain ranges, the Great Himalaya and the Karakoram, it lies athwart two others, the Ladakh range and the Zanskar range. Ladakh is also known as the land of passes.
Day 2: In Leh : After breakfast half day sightseeing of Sankar Gompa: Located on a valley floor and is the home to Lamas who belong to Yellow sect and worship his Holiness - The Dalai Lama. Visit Shanti Stupa : a Buddhist religious monument built by Indian based Japanese Monk whose intention was to spread Buddhisim by building such stupas throughout the world & Leh Palace : the 17th. Century looking for all the world like a miniature version of the Potala in Lhasa. Visit Stok Palace & SINDHU DARSHAN at Chaglomsar. The rest of the day is free for a personal activities . Meals and overnight at Hotel.
Day 3: In Leh : After early breakfast full day sightseeing of Shey,Thicksey & Hemis. Shey was the summer Palace of Ladakhi Kings and is here you can see the 36Ft. high statue of Buddha made of copper and covered with gold. Thicksey : The twelve storeyed monastery of Thicksey is situated in the most prominent of positions, lies on an island Mountain. Finally visit; Hemis : Farthest away from Leh, this is the wealthiest Monastery in Ladakh belonging to the Red Sect - it is here each summer that plays are held and Ladakhis from all parts of the country will visit Hemis. Evening return to Leh. Meals and overnight at Hotel .
Day 4: In Leh : After breakfast half day trip to Khardungla ( 18380 fts.) the worlds highest motorable road & gateway to Siachen Glacier . Afternoon free for personal activities. Meals and overnight at Hotel. Evening visit to a Ladakhi Family. Meals and overnight at Hotel in Leh.
Day 5: Leh – Delhi / Jammu / Chandigarh / Srinagar : Check out from hotel in time to catch your onward flight back home.
